Jessie Bell for Idaho House District 26
Jessie Bell is a proud resident of Hailey and a passionate advocate for the people and values of District 26. Growing up in small-town Michigan, she learned early on the meaning of community—neighbors looking out for each other, rolling up your sleeves when there’s work to be done, and celebrating the victories, big or small, together. Those values stayed with her, and she sees them reflected in the heart of rural Idaho.
Jessie understands the unique challenges and opportunities that come with living in a small, mountainous region, from maintaining access to essential services to preserving the natural beauty that defines our way of life.
Jessie chose to make Idaho home because of what makes this state special: tight-knit communities, outdoor recreation, and its natural beauty. Since settling in the Wood River Valley, she’s seen firsthand how issues like affordable housing, access to healthcare, and public education shape our communities. She believes that addressing these challenges requires leaders who listen, build trust, and work across differences to deliver real solutions.
As a doctor of audiology and small business owner, Jessie has built her career around listening—not just with her ears, but with her full attention and respect. Running her clinic taught her how to bring people together, balance competing needs, and navigate complex systems to get things done. She knows that lasting change comes from collaboration, not division, and from policies grounded in the everyday realities of the people they serve.
Jessie is running to:
- Strengthen healthcare access in rural and mountain communities.
- Support teachers, schools, and students by ensuring public schools have the resources to inspire, educate, and prepare the next generation.
- Champion policies that keep working families in the communities they love by addressing housing affordability and economic opportunity.
- Protect Idaho’s natural resources so our rivers, forests, and open spaces remain healthy for future generations.
- Encourage responsible economic growth that benefits local residents while preserving the character of our towns.
- Advocate for women’s access to comprehensive healthcare including reproductive health service.
